Bathroom: tick

Last night I dusted off my hands at 10:30 pm to stand back and admire my latest project: a new bathroom. Still a few things left to do in there, but at least all the pieces have water again. (and no leaks (I think (now that I have tightened the hoses (after turning it on and it spraying everywhere))). However, Kerry gracefully let me know my father would have considered it a failure as it took more than 3 trips to Home Depot....

Spackle, Sand, Paint

Kerry and I are working feverishly to get the major bones of the place up to snuff for daily living. The entire house needs a couple coats of paint from stem to stern and a bit of spackle as well. I can feel the dust in my nose just thinking about it.....achoo....
Slowly, slowly we are making progress, but it sure feels rewarding when we go to bed each night (usually around 1 or 2) and look at the progress we made.

I am a PMP

Because things weren't stressful enough when buying, selling and moving into a new place within a month, I decided to also try and take my PMP exam in the middle of it...  But you know what, I passed!  I don't even think I crammed that hard in university!
My colleagues thought this video might be a nice break during my studying... I don't recommend watching it if you need a clear mind; it does nothing for your focus...

A new house

So, I know my poor blog has languished lately...  It's mostly been due to our new hobby of 'attending open houses'.  This has consumed us since August and will finally come to a close when we move into our new place on Dec 15, just in time for Christmas!
I'm still half 'super excited', half 'want to throw-up' from the stress and magnitude of the decision, but am looking forward to settling into our new place.

The house is in North Van, in a small neighbourhood called Norgate.
